Solar Training
The New Economic Stimulus Plan will make solar installers one of, if not, the fastest growing job in the United States. In fact, the need for solar installers, trained, professional installers will increase exponentially in the coming year, and beyond beyond of the tremendous financial and social support for renewable energy. If you are going to cash in on this new, increased demand for green-collar workers, you will need the proper solar training.

Solar training is critical because solar energy is such a broad, deep and often misunderstood topic. Sadly, there is a ton of information available on solar energy on the internet and in books, but a lot of this information may be false, or outdated, and, the true information is scattered across hundreds, or thousands of sources that could take years to sift through and put together. This is where a good solar training course comes in.

Using the Sun for Power – How It Works
Executive Summary about Sun Power by Richard Chapo

Generating electricity from the sun is all about converting sunlight into power. The technology behind solar systems is known as photovoltaic technology. Essentially, this technology involves using sunlight to create a chemical reaction. This process creates a direct current of electricity. The electricity is then converted to usable alternating current electricity and stored in a battery or fed into a utility grid system.

Home Sweet Solar Home – Making Homes Better With Solar Technology
Executive Summary about Solar Home by Anne Clarke

By now many people know it is possible to generate energy without the use of dwindling traditional resources. This stimulated atmospheric cycle is the product of a solar biosphere that remains in constant, gradual motion. You can draw energy directly from the sunlight, you can save money on energy costs, and you can be a big part of the effort to protect our planet. Remember, though, solar panels are not the only type of solar technology available that can harvest a decent alternative to electricity from the sun. There are wind turbines, solar panels, biospheres, and many other innovative solar power mechanisms that have made headway in an extreme scientific objective to help protect the earth. Despite what many people might believe, there are solar solutions available as alternative energy sources that virtually anyone can choose over electrical energy. Soon construction companies for homes, office buildings, apartment complexes, and more will adopt new methods of design that will dovetail more easily with solar technology.

Diffuser for Solar Flashlight by Joe Bufkin

Designed by Joe Bufkin, this was an InnoCentive challenge project to design a diffuser for an existing solar flashlight. The requesters wanted a diffuser so that the flashlight could be used for general illumination in a room in countries with no electrical grid. The part shown in red is the prototype model he constructed from PVC. He has included pictures of the prototype and two drawings that he also submitted.
